The collection

One story world with its own reason to code.

A planned Story Blocks adventure that turns obstacles on the road west into short problems children can understand, program and explain without losing the order of the original journey.

01

The journey stays in story order

The planned chapters follow the travellers along the road west, so programming challenges grow from events in the adventure rather than sitting beside it.

02

Each obstacle becomes a logic problem

Movement, timing, character actions and changing conditions become visible block-programming tasks for young children.

03

A young-child adaptation

Short scenes, clear goals and repeatable characters are being designed for ages 5–8 while keeping the classic journey recognisable.

Learning inside the story

What children practise as they help.

The programming is not a worksheet beside the story. Each block changes what a character does, what happens next or whether the scene can continue.

  • Plan steps before a character moves
  • Use events to respond to story moments
  • Recognise when a repeated action can become a loop
  • Debug a route when the first plan does not work
